Back from hiatus

After months of absent, finally I got the muse to write again. There are lots of things going on during these months and as usual, I do not know where to start.

Anyway, let me try with this word: marriage. It is a really a big big thing happened in my life, even now I’m still trying to believe that I finally did it. We are not only talking about the wedding (which is, well, when it comes to family, it become the complicated one) or honeymoon (ah, I never regret my decision for this one), but also about how to live our life as a married couple. And during these months, we’ve been enjoying every thing and hope that we will still be enthusiast for the rest of our life.

Starting the year with my beloved one makes it a great birthday celebration for me. After a month of hunting, we finally decided to move to a more comfy place. It’s nearby my hubby’s office and not far from my previous place. Well, we are not moving into our own house yet, but hopefully we will, later. Since this place is still a kind of “kos-kosan”, so I have not much preoccupied with things like house-chores since the laundry service is included and even though we have our tiny kitchen but we still enjoy culinary hunting around the area. And for sure, we still continue our dates just like before and we love it very much.

Back to work, I received good news for joining a workshop somewhere in Africa on March, of course with other team members. While waiting for the details, I directly prepare everything for renewing my passport. So on a gloomy day on 14 February, hubby and I ride a motorbike from the suburb to the Old City area of Jakarta, where immigration office located. Alas, that was not really our day, we were all wet because of rain on our way to the office, almost skipped our lunch to avoid missing the queue, and the worst: my passport application was denied since my family card was not signed by my aunt (and yes, after years of using it, I just noticed it right there in the office). To make it even worser, my aunt told me that the original family card that includes my name in the list has been renewed, leaving me unlisted :(. For sure, it shocked me much, since I could still use the copy of the previous family card for renewing my Bandung ID card 3 years ago.

Confused with what should be chosen: whether paying extra money to someone who could solve my problem instantly or trying to list my self in the family card (which will cost me money and time to arrange it in Bandung), I received a news from the office, that I won’t be joining the team to Africa. Relieved, since I did not have to deal with this passport thing for now, but also sad since I have imagine myself travelling to Africa. But, looking at the bright side, I could still enjoy my days with hubby (btw, he got his passport done in 10 days!). Anyway, I decided to arrange my new ID card in Bekasi, where hubby is enlisted in his sister’s house, so that we could avoid going back and forth to Bandung if the same problem persists.

Enjoying our life as newlywed, we never imagine that people starts asking about having a baby. For sure, we really want to have children in the family, but isn’t it too fast to ask about it yet? Come on guys, it’s our second month. I knew it is part of ‘the never ending questions’ in our country, but still surprise when people asking: have you missed your period? Or have you feel any nausea/morning sickness yet? Gladly, hubby responded it much better than me and we agree that those people care us much. Anyhow, we decide to take it easy and let anything happened as the way it is.

p.s. it's also refreshing to see how you could see 'the light' behind the passport/trip story. cool!
